The End of an Error (pun intended) Sarah Palin is on the outs at Fox News

Standard

It’s The Beginning of The End for Shotgun marriage of Fox News and Sarah Palin.  On Wednesday, Palin posted on her Facebook:

I’m sorry Fox cancelled all my scheduled interviews tonight because I sure wanted to take the opportunity on the air to highlight Senator John McCain‘s positive contributions to America, to honor him, and to reflect on what a biased media unfairly put him through four years ago tonight. Granted, our honored and esteemed war hero has gone through much more than the liberal media can ever do to him in their efforts to harm this patriot. I look forward to hearing his words to his fellow Americans tonight more than any of the other convention speeches. God bless John McCain. Thank you for everything. And happy birthday, my friend.

from Huffington Post

Sarah Palin’s outburst at Fox News on Wednesday is part of a protracted set of contract negotiations that could see the former vice-presidential nominee end her association with the network, New York’s Gabriel Sherman reported Thursday.

Palin set the media world aflutter on Wednesday, when she wrote a Facebook post pointedly noting that Fox News had canceled all of her scheduled interviews for the day. Since both her former running mate, John McCain, and her sucessor as nominee, Paul Ryan, were speaking at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night, it seemed like an odd choice.

She has been a Fox News contributor since 2010, reportedly earning a cool $1 million a year. But Sherman wrote that this may be coming to an end shortly, due to Palin’s sinking ratings power.

“Palin’s contract is up in January, and according to sources, Fox News executives are now weighing what kind of deal they would sign, if they sign one at all,” he reported.

If Palin and Fox News were to divorce, it would not come as a total shock. Reports about the souring of Palin’s relationship with Fox News CEO Roger Ailes have been in the media for a long time.

Sometimes the two have jabbed at each other in public, as when Ailes said that he only hired Palin because she was “hot and got ratings,” or when he told an audience that she “had no chance to be president.”

More often, though, stories of bitter feuding have leaked out — usually in the form of a story by Sherman, the preeminent peeker behind closed Fox News doors. He has reported, for instance, that Ailes privately called Palin “stupid,” and that he wasinfuriated by her decision to announce she would not be running for president on a radio show instead of Fox News.

Moreover, Palin is simply not the political powerhouse she once was, making her steep price tag harder to justify. Though she was the star of the 2008 Republican convention, she did not even attend the 2012 forum.

Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy hit back at Fox News during a UK press conference following the London Premiere of their new film. Fox had publically criticized the film for supposedly pushing a ‘dangerous liberal agenda’ at kids. Fox News rejoices as Newt Gingrich roars to a surprise victory in South Carolina

Standard

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich reopens the Republican presidential race with a resounding victory in the South Carolina primary, and Fox News sings his praises as if he were the second coming of the messiah.  Gingrich’s win is solid evidence of exactly why we don’t need people with his distorted value system and/or his supporters running or more specifically ruining this country.  Anyone who could rally around a political criminal and insider such as Newt Gingrich, despite his baggage, and sordid past and present, simply are not thinking clearly.  And what does this sat to the rest of the world, who are anxiously watching and  looking toward the United States for leadership.

Question of the Day! “Is Newt Gingrich a Felon? “

Standard

GOP Front-runner Newt Gingrich has enjoyed much success as of late. But his meteoric rise to the top cannot be attributed to his political savvy and popularity as much as it is a by-product of former GOP front-runners Rick Perry, Herman Cain, and Mitt Romney‘s disastrous decent into the abyss.  Realistically, we all know about many of the things that have happened in the public sector regarding Newt Gingrich, His Affair, His Marriages, and even his ethics violations.  We know so much, that we should all be really concerned about the things we may not know.  Look for good old’ Newt to go the way of Herman Cain soon… which is par for the course in this 2012 GOP primary season. But if not, and he has enough of the America public bamboozled by his snappy wit, and oratory skills, it may not be the easiest thing to defeat him in the Election, especially since he has already shown that he will do literally anything to achieve his goals, illegal or not.   Liberal Viewer, a YouTube video Blog, does a great job in outlining the question ,”Is Newt Gingrich a Felon?’ Watch and Listen to his argument below, then ask yourself this same question.

(Liberal Viewer)  When Nancy Pelosi told talking Points Memo that she knows a lot about the ethics problems of Newt Gingrich from her time on the ethics committee that investigated Gingrich, Fox News reacted with so-called news reports that failed to inform viewers that Gingrich was the only House Speaker to be reprimanded, why he was reprimanded, or that Gingrich has much other scandalous baggage from the 1990s, as I show in this video.

Herman Cain just loves to make jokes…..But about Anita Hill of all People? Really?

Herman Cain is defending himself from sexual harassment allegations, but that didn’t stop him from joking about Anita Hill, the college professor who made similar allegations against Clarence Thomas during his Supreme Court nomination hearings 20 years ago.

A Fox News camera captured Cain laughing about Hill during a campaign stop in Kalamazoo, Mich., Thursday, when a supporter brought up the professor’s name.

“You hear the latest news today? Anita Hill is going to come …” a man told Cain, the conclusion of his statement muffled by the crowd.

“Is she going to endorse me?” Cain joked, as he and the crowd laughed heartily.

You can watch the video here, courtesy Fox News.

Cain insisted Friday he wasn’t trying to insult Hill.

“We walked into this room and … one of my supporters said, ‘Anita Hill was trying to contact you’ and my response was, ‘Is she going to endorse me?’” Cain told New York Post columnist Fred Dicker, per Politico. “He said it in a humorous way. I gave a humorous response.”

Cain continues to fend off allegations that he sexually harassed four women when he was head of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s.

Cain came under fire again Wednesday for making a condescending remark about House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, when he referred to her as “Princess Nancy” during a Republican presidential debate in Michigan. He later admitted he “probably shouldn’t have” made the comment.
