Imagine my surprise when I acme across an interview with Country Music Super Star Garth Brooks giving kudos to President Barack Obama.  Let’s just say you could have knocked me over with a feather!

  1. I had always presumed Garth Brooks was on the liberal end of the country music establishment — maybe not as far to the left as Steve Earle, but definitely a progressive. For example, “We Shall Be Free” seemed to be affirming not only racial equality but also LGBT equality.
